Whale shark!

Jan, Annemieke, Ronald, Patricia and Ben were the lucky ones!

Dragon fish

Eurypegasua draconis is the name of the small dragonfish, which belongs to the rayfinned dish. The little fish, maximum 10cm big, lives on a sandy bottom usually hiding between sea grass. Because of it's sandy color it is perfectly camouflaged and can easily hunt down his prey. At Moalboal they are at at least 2 dive spots, Goby Point and North Point.

Bubblemakers

In the months of July and August we have young divers as our guests and a few were really just starting. This year Anne-Floor and Danique earned their Bubblemakers license. We had a lot of fun together.

Dive Masters

Yes, these were busy months at Magic Island, as we also had two Dive Masters in training. Half August Padi had two new Dive Masters! Congretulations to Karien and Eef, who worked very hard (almost non-stop) and left a great impression.

Maintenance

Between all the diving and courses we also did a lot of maintenance. All the wood and bamboo were painted again and the boots had a complete inspection. So busy times to make a good start with the new season.

What happened this month at Magic Island?

This month we again celebrated a birthday. We had a big party when Manuel, our guide, found 3 "new"  pigmee seahorses in one week. Freek took a beautiful picture of one of them, we will show it another time to you.
