Spider crab
In spite of the fact that they are all named 'Spider Crab', the members of this family barely resemble one another.
From macro-sized small, 1 cm, to over 10 cm, they are the masters of camouflage. One must be truly skilled at finding them,
but luckily we have our guide to help. Just look at all of the spider crabs in the photos - aren’t they unbelievable?

Willem, our European dive centre manager
In order to serve our guests even better, on 9 March, our dive team will be reinforced by a new member, Willem. For many of
our guests, he is a familiar face - Willem has been a guest at our facility several times. Since he couldn’t bring himself
to leave during his last visit here, we just had to find a solution!
PADI AWARE Conservation Award 2010 Project
To our great surprise, we won the PADI AWARE Conservation Award 2010. There were several other projects from the Philippines
among the nominees, but thanks in part to the NEMO project, we were the proud recipients of this award. Check out our
website to find out more about Project NEMO and see all the faces of the happy children.

Participation at Boot
In spite of the bad weather, it was once again a fun and successful exhibition for us in Düsseldorf. Many visitors came to
our stand for a nice chat, a cup of coffee and to reminisce about the good times. We also managed to get many divers enthusiastic,
and they too stopped in for a chat and cup of coffee. See you next year at Boot!

Schoolchildren sing for new classrooms
The children of the Philippines do not have it as easy as their counterparts in the West, but they enjoy making a virtue of
necessity. A group of students from our local high school started a fundraiser to raise money for the construction of new
classrooms, and were accompanied by two teachers to lend a helping hand.

Blue-ringed octopus
The most poisonous animal on earth, this creature packs enough toxins to kill 10 men weighing 75 kg. Beautiful photos taken
by Marjan Brouwer.

What happened last month at Magic Island?

his 100th dive, Mascha, Serge, Jorieke and Henry participated in Discovery Scuba and will definitely be getting their certificates
